Lasso’s August OSC of the Month is Becky Kline, Online Advisor for Garman Builders located in Lititz, Pennsylvania. In her interview, Becky shares her go-to resources, the technology she uses, and her advice for other new OSCs..
What was your career path to becoming an OSC?
I have been in my role for almost 5 months now, but have worked and continue to work in the restaurant/bar industry for the past 14 ½ years. Right before I came to Garman Builders, I was at Penske as well. I stumbled upon this job and the rest is history!
How many online leads do you manage monthly?
Currently, I manage on average of 80 leads a month.
What’s the best part about working on a team of OSCs?
I think the best part about working on a team is that we work effectively and efficiently together. We use each other’s knowledge and constantly bounce ideas off one another.
There is currently only me and a part-time OSA. Over the next few years, I see myself growing the team and hopefully managing that team of OSA’s to help the company succeed.
“Becky has taken the reigns to overhaul Garman’s procedures and processes. Her diligent work allows Garman Builders to be proactive in their communication with buyers. She puts true heart into her work!”

Sr. Consultant, Lasso CRM
What is the most important technology(s)/tool(s) you use in your role?
It’s been crucial to have Lasso–there is still so much to learn in this system, and I find myself constantly discovering new things it can do. I also use CallRail, and I’ve been using BombBomb for videos quite a bit, which people seem to enjoy!
What is your “go-to” closing technique to get an appointment?
We’ve had great incentives lately, so I typically use something along the line of, “We have really great incentives right now and I would hate for you to miss out. Even if you don’t build today, it’s important to have as much information on this process as possible.”
What/Who are your “go-to” resources for training and/or support?
I rely heavily on my boss to help guide me and they have been great in supporting this new role within the company. I’ve also relied on Do You Convert (specifically Amanda and Jessie) and I’ve also leaned on Heidi. They have all been great at providing me with training and guidance, especially when I first started since I had no background in this role prior to being hired.
Do you have a productivity hack you’d like to share?
I am huge on keeping my Microsoft to do list up to date. I try to layout my day a day or two prior to help keep me organized and focused.
Do you have any specific successes you’d like to highlight?
I was here for about a month when I received my first contract! It was motivating to see the sale notification come through.
Any tips or advice for fellow online salespeople and marketers?
Stay organized, stay focused, and create relationships.
What are your favorite activities to do outside of work?
I love traveling, working out, and I’m a huge foodie so I try to make it to a new place once a month at a minimum (I’m a huge Yelper).
What are you reading/watching?
I had a goal of 12 books a year but upped it to 20 and now, 30. I’m currently reading “For Men Only” by Shaunti & Jeff Feldhahn.
