Lasso’s OSC of the Month for March is Leigh Williams, online sales consultant with Bishard Homes, a homebuilder in Virginia Beach, Va. In this interview, Leigh shares her path to becoming an OSC, her “go-to” resources for training and support, and her productivity hacks.
Leigh Williams (LW): Before becoming the OSC at Bishard Homes, I was not in sales, I was a high school math teacher for Virginia Beach City Public Schools for five years. Bishard Homes was started by two brothers, one of whom is my dad. When I felt the need for a change in my career, I inquired if anything was available, and right around that time, the company was starting its in-house sales team. The rest is history, and I’ve been working for Bishard for almost three years as the OSC.
LW: I have not been in online sales for long. When I started, we were still in the COVID-19 era, where only the highly qualified leads were booked for appointments, which was busy. However, discipline and the basic sales processes for an OSC are essential to success in the current market.
LW: Without a doubt, Lasso and CallRail are key for my role.
LW: The Sales and Marketing team at Bishard is my number one support. We collaborate well and do whatever we need as a team to get the job done and help each other. The Do You Convert (DYC) team has great training resources and coaches!
LW: I have two "hacks" that I use. First, I time-block my day, and second, I have created a daily, weekly, and monthly habit tracker to keep up with the essential tasks of the OSC.
LW: I love seeing an aged lead go to contract. We recently had someone go to a contract that our team has worked with for a couple of years at one of our communities.
LW: Spend time with my family and spend time at the beach
LW: My husband and I are watching “The Mentalist.”
