It has been brought to our attention that the ECI name and trademark has been used in several countries by persons who are in no way related to ECI Software Solutions, Inc. or its affiliates. In the latest series of scams, these persons offer individuals an opportunity to make money by performing crypto-mining services. The victim is provided a website, like the one pictured below, and a required registration code. The spoofed ECI sites require that an individual register with them, but they can only do that if they enter that registration code the scammer has provided. We also have reason to believe that e-mails, letter, telephone calls and other actions taken by these persons are nothing but illegitimate attempts to obtain money and access to individuals’ personal and confidential information.
Before releasing any personal information, ID or bank account details, make sure your contact is an authorized ECI representative. You can confirm it by getting in touch with the ECI office in your country of residence [insert link from address website].
Beware of any unexpected e-mail, instant message, voicemail or fax that claims to be from ECI. If you receive such a message, get in touch with the ECI office in your country and verify that the message is legitimate.
If you believe that you have been victim of such frauds, we strongly recommend that you report the incident to local authorities.
