Which operating systems does the Printanista data collection agent (DCA) support?
Operating system support is never a limitation to using the Printanista DCA. The DCA can be installed directly onto Windows, Mac, Linux, and Raspberry Pi. But additionally, Printanista's DCA is available exclusively on AR Data's relay box, providing an easy plug-and-play DCA for managed print services that is self-recovering and eliminates non-reporting due to power outages, network disruption, or human error.
How much ongoing maintenance does Printanista's DCA require?
Printanista’s DCA is a service that runs in the background and performs audits and exports on predefined schedules of your choosing. New devices added to the environments you monitor are discovered automatically, and support for new model features (such as unique meters, supply levels, and device alerts) is applied automatically without the need to service your DCA's or intervene with any kind of manual support.
Does Printanista and the DCA manage data in accordance with GDPR?
Data security is a top priority at ECI. Printanista and the DCA do not process, monitor, or manage any personal records, nor do they collect, house, or transmit any information regarding the content of print jobs. ECI has a structured and comprehensive GDPR compliance program that includes training of ECI staff, audit and risk assessment across the business, policies and procedures, governance, and ongoing compliance initiatives. Will Printanista allow me to troubleshoot and service printers remotely?

In most cases, your existing DCAs will either be entirely supported or can be easily upgraded to the current ECI DCA without any site visits or customer involvement.
