It's nearly that time of year again! TECH LIVE 2024 is a one-day event, set in central London where ICT professionals, IT and mobile resellers, MFP/Printer Dealers and other technology Providers can meet new prospective channel partners face-to-face and build new relationships, explore new business opportunities and engage with new converging technology opportunities.
Taking place at the Business Design Centre, London on 17th September 2024, TECH LIVE is designed to bring together IT vendors and technology resellers & managed service providers in an informal direct environment, creating new introductions & reinforcing existing relationships.
For the fourth year running, ECI are pleased to be exhibiting at the event and with that, we asked our ECI office tech dynamic duo of Jonathan Rogerson and Jamie Bradley what parts of the event they are most looking forward to:
Can you share what you've enjoyed about attending TECH LIVE in the past?
Jonathan: The opportunity to meet with both customers and new business opportunities operating in our core market of field service. Also, seeing how other businesses are going to market and how they are trying to innovate as well as joining the seminars and learning what industry leaders are saying about the market.
Jamie: Gaining valuable industry insights, whether that's attending a thought leadership seminar, discussing industry initiatives with peers from other verticals and organisations, or speaking with prospective customers to understand what's changing in their world to help us better position our go-to-market strategy and ultimately support their needs.
What can resellers gain from attending the exhibition?
Jonathan: Making new contacts, more leads and access to senior influencers in the business. They also want to build up brand recognition as experts in this region.
Jamie: As Jonathan said, generating more leads, but also like us, gaining industry insights, and networking with industry peers.
What seminar topics are most valuable to you and also for resellers?
Jonathan: Insights into how the industry is evolving and inspiration on how to grow their business or to find suppliers to assist them in operating more efficiently and profitably. As a supplier, we're keen to understand what's challenging them in running their business so we can help solve for those issues.
Jamie: Anything around predictive analysis – where is the market heading; what does the future look like; and how can we leverage the tools we have today to better position ourselves to meet these changing demands.
Why should resellers visit ECI's stand at the show and what can they gain in doing so?
Jonathan: Thought leadership from a trusted advisor and supplier who specialise in this area. People who know me are aware of my vast experience in the industry, just like Jamie, and we're keen to use that experience to help our customers, which in hindsight we'd wish we had suppliers like ECI available to us when we were working for managed print dealerships ourselves. We're on the other side of fence now so to speak, but that doesn't mean we care any less about the industry, quite the opposite in fact, which is why we're so keen to support events like TECH LIVE year after year.
Jamie: Good publicity. When you position yourself as an industry leader, and organisations trust in what you do and what you say, then the product, solution or service that you represent gains further credibility and relevance in the context of the industry that you’re selling into.
Who are you looking forward to and hoping to meet at the show?
Jonathan: People from the managed print sector offering services to their clients through their service technicians.
Jamie: Yes, those from the managed service channel. Our core target market is managed print, although we do have affiliate partnerships with vendors and OEMs in the consumable fulfilment space too that we're eager to catch up with.
What have you learned from attending TECH LIVE in the past?
Jonathan: Yes most definitely, for example how our ecosystem of software can meet the changing needs of each client. Customers are always looking for innovative ways of going to market but are sometimes constrained by their current back-office system – so finding out what their needs are through in-person events allows us to provide solutions to meet their specific requirements.
Jamie: All the time. Our suite of software solutions is developed with customisation in mind. We encourage our customers to explore new ways of leveraging the various functions on offer in our software to help streamline current business processes. We recognise that every organisation is unique, and as such, through conversation, we discover new ways that elements of our software are being used in order to meet these ever-changing demands, and that's always fascinating and helps us to make sure we're on track with our product development in order to continue to meet those needs.
