Aligning with ECI’s ‘CODE’ - crave greatness, own the outcome, deliver awesome and embrace community - nearly forty businesses were shortlisted across the four categories.
Global hygiene and health company, Essity, were chosen as winners of the ‘crave greatness’ award with judges impressed by the investment made in their workforce. Despite the challenges of 2021, Essity maintained their commitment to employ graduates and start apprenticeships across Europe.
Having invested heavily in supporting their workforce and being shortlisted for an Investors in People award earlier this year, managed print service experts Logixal were triumphant in the ‘deliver awesome’ category.
Focused on individuals and businesses that have successfully moved a key industry topic forward, the ‘own the outcome’ award went to Heatons Office Supplies. Throughout the pandemic Heatons donated care packages to hospices and donated FFP2 respirator masks and safety spectacles to Arrowe Park Hospital.
Hampshire-based Coomers were crowned winners of the ‘embrace community’ award, having used their building supplies business to support local construction projects, as well as proactively sponsoring sports teams and charities.
Emma Davies-Carolan, ECI director of marketing, EMEA & APAC commented:
“I’d like to wish all of our winners a huge congratulations. Even in such challenging times, it’s great to see businesses proactively driving the industry forward and investing in both their workforce and local community.
“Unlike other industry awards, nominees were not asked to send over sales numbers or business growth metrics. Our sole focus was looking at how well these individuals and businesses followed the ECI ‘CODE’ and we expect to see more fantastic work from these teams in 2022.”
