ECI Software Solutions, a leader in cloud-based business management solutions, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Bob Cain as Business Unit Leader, BuildTools. In this role, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the new BuildTools product, including improved customer experience and support, team growth and software development, and will report directly to Scott Duman, President of ECI’s Residential Home Construction Group, Building and Construction Division.
Cain brings more than 20 years of experience in residential construction to ECI, previously holding senior positions in ECI’s Business Unit for MarkSystems®, ECI’s flagship ERP for residential home builders. In addition to his BuildTools duties, he will continue to serve as the Vice President of Professional Services for the ECI Residential Home Construction Group. He has earned a Certified Graduate Associate (CGA) designation from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and is a Certified NAHB Instructor with the University of Housing.
“Bob has been an invaluable member of the team since the day he joined,” said Duman. “His industry knowledge and experience working one-on-one with customers to get the most out of their technology makes him the perfect person to help BuildTools reach its full potential.”
“BuildTools is a great product with the power to truly change businesses,” said Cain. “I’m excited to work with our team to develop the product further and grow its awareness in the market. There is a lot of opportunity here for us to bring a great product to a broader audience while continuing to serve our current customers even better.”
Earlier this month, ECI announced the acquisition of BuildTools, a web-based construction management platform for custom builders and remodelers. Developed by a custom home builder frustrated with the solutions previously available on the market, the BuildTools platform is a business management system that meets the unique requirements of small volume custom home builders and their clients, allowing ECI to reach a new customer segment.
